When you have a workflow that will be repeated for some, many, or most patients, you can create a template for that workflow. This workflow template lives in a Program. A program organizes your organization's workflows for use by your teams for their patients.
When you add a new program, first give it a name and description. Each program has a State of On or Off. By default new programs are set to Off. To change the Program State, click the ... button on the sidebar and choose Edit.

- On: Program workflows are available for use in your org's workspace
- Off: Program workflows are not available for use
While you work on building your program, you'll most likely want to leave the program turned off. When the program and its workflows are ready for use, you can turn it on.
